Biblical Counseling
Biblical Truth for the Struggles of Life
Life's struggles are rarely limited to what can be seen on the surface. Fear, anger, shame, broken relationships, destructive habits, discouragement, and spiritual drift often involve deeper questions of the heart. Biblical counseling provides compassionate guidance rooted in Scripture to help people understand their struggles, find hope in Christ, and take faithful steps toward lasting change.
What is biblical counseling?
A Christ-Centered Approach to Personal and Spiritual Care
Biblical counseling seeks to understand a person's circumstances, thoughts, desires, beliefs, relationships, and patterns in light of God's Word. The goal is not merely to manage symptoms or change outward behavior, but to address the heart and help people grow in their relationship with Christ.
Scripture provides the foundation for understanding life and the human heart.
Jesus Christ offers forgiveness, hope, restoration, and a new identity.
Prayer expresses dependence upon God throughout the change process.
The Holy Spirit brings conviction, comfort, wisdom, and growth.
Biblical change includes both inward renewal and practical obedience.
The local church can provide discipleship, encouragement, accountability, and support.

Where Biblical Counseling Can Help
The New Creation approach
You Are Not Defined by Your Past
At New Creation, we believe people should not be permanently defined by their failures, struggles, addictions, wounds, or past. In Christ, there is forgiveness, a new identity, genuine hope, and a new way of life. Counseling is designed to help individuals understand who they are in Christ, identify the deeper issues influencing their choices, and take practical steps toward faithful and lasting change.
"The Christian does not battle for a new identity. He battles from a new identity."

Is Biblical Counseling Right for You?
Biblical counseling may be helpful for individuals who want to understand their struggles through a Christian worldview, grow spiritually, address recurring patterns, restore relationships, deepen their dependence upon Christ, and take practical steps toward change.
What Biblical Counseling Is Not: Biblical counseling is not emergency care and is not a substitute for medical treatment, psychiatric treatment, legal advice, or licensed mental-health treatment when those services are needed. Referrals may be recommended when a person's needs extend beyond the scope of the services provided.
